Decatur, Alabama is a city about 90 miles north of Birmingham, west of Huntsville. Their local paper ran a story this past Saturday about a couple that is converting to Judaism.
A sad truth that in rural Alabama, converting to Judaism is more "man bites dog" than "dog bites man" -- it doesn't happen very often!!
The reporter contacted me last week after finding our podcast, and I gave her a few quotes which she used towards the end of the article. I like how she described our shows as "genial broadcasts of faith and life." That's it, pretty much.
Rabbi Glusman from Beth-El was also quoted in the article. I teased him about the fact that I was quoted before he was.
